Linden
Avenue is one of the two main drags through Carpinteria.
Of course, it is the main road that leads to
the beach. It is home to a number of excellent restaurants, shopping
(especially antiques) and services.
Several of our top picks
are here - Cajun
Kitchen, The
Coffee Grinder, Robitailles,
and The Spot.
The Train Station
is here, as is the only B&B in town - Prufrocks.
It is also home to majestic palm trees that are almost 100
years old.
Linden hosts the
Christmas Parade of Lights, the Avocado Festival, the
Antique Car Show, and the 4th of July festivities.

Linden
has been renovated in recent years so it is charming and
easy to walk through. Several of the restaurants
have outdoor tables, cafe style.
Check out LindenAvenue.com,
a great website put together by the students of Main and
Canalino schools for the CyberFair.
Local secret #1 - the
best parking is just off Linden. There are parking
lots off of Juniper and 8th.
