This wonderfully eclectic store is a little bit deli, a little bit gift shop and a whole lot coffee shop.  

It is a wonderful place to enjoy their oh-so good coffee (the latte, of course, is our favorite) and write a letter, chat with friends or watch the people walking down Linden.

The only drawback is whenever we sit and sip and usually write, we always peruse their gifts. We invariably walk away having purchased something we hadn't planned on purchasing.  

Directions: 

Southbound: Take the 101 to Linden Avenue. Turn right at the stop sign at the end of the ramp.  At the stop lights go straight and the Coffee Grinder is a half block up on the left. 

Northbound:  Take the 101 to Casitas Pass.  At the top of the ramp turn left.  When Casita's pass ends on Carpinteria Avenue, turn right.  At the next light (Linden Avenue) turn left.  The Coffee Grinder is a half block up on the left.
