Although
technically not a Carpinteria park, this is a fairly large
county park within easy driving distance of the city.
This heavily wooded park
has complete facilities for small and large groups, play
grounds for children, hiking trails, plenty of parking and
a stream that runs through the middle.
The one thing we really
like about this park is you get a sense of what California
canyons were like before palm trees and other non-native
species were added. It seems pure and true to its
heritage.
