The
Rincon is considered by many to be one of the best surfing
places in the world. The ocean bottom off the point
is shallow and slopes gently out about 300 yards.
This means surfers can ride a wave for a very long time
(in surfing standards). It's amazing to watch
surfers coast for a minute or two along the point.
Directions:
Take the 101 to the Bates
Road exit. Turn towards the ocean. when you
get to South Via Real, turn right.
